Company background

ExCal AB has its origin within Ericsson. In February of year 2000 a division was outsourced and the company ExCal began it’s journey. ExCal’s head office is located in Söderhamn, 250 km north of Stockholm. ExCal also has a sub-office in Trnava, Slovakia, where we provide calibration services for the Central European region. We also have a subsidiary that is engaged in the lighting industry with the design and manufacture of LED Strips, BLP Listen AB.       

ExCal's owners are two local entrepreneurs Mr Jesper Sverin and Mr Conny Sverin.

ExCal’s customers are found within most businesses and stretches from
small, local industries to big multinational companies. To name a few,
ExCal works together with:
Mindray, Solectron, Emerson, Sony, Ericsson, Panasonic,
PartnerTech, GE Healthcare, Samhall, Astec, Benchmark, Profoto, Senseair etc.
 

Quality is a prominent corner stone in ExCal’s activities. We are certified according to the standards SS-EN ISO 13 485:2012 and SS-EN ISO 9001:2008. Based on customer demands and these standards we can set-up, verify and validate a production- or project process.

Business

In ExCal customer focus is built into the walls. Feedback from our customers is often in the words of alert, value adding, responsible and problem solving. Our business actions evolve from our history.

In the area of electricity, we deliver both consultancy services in the design, documentation and manufacturing.

The area of automation delivers the traditional features for automated processes.

The test area covers all activities related to testing, test method investigations (TMI) and the design/manufacturing of fixtures, manual test equipment and automatic test systems.

Production includes the manufacture of small to medium runs of products in ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 processes. Another type of business is service to medical instruments and other equipment.
